Red Mango

Located inconveniently in Taman Anggrek (at least for me), Red Mango has surely outdone its' self. As you may have noticed (as I obnoxiously have), Red Mango has set an unbelievably large amount of advertisements online, especially in Facebook. And I somehow became influenced by the advertisement and was very eager to try the 'Berry Mochi'. I would say that the froyo in here is guh-reat! Mochi? More like candy! It's too soft, not chewy at all, although the presentation of the mochi would be a 10 out of 10. But the froyo, it was UNBELIEVABLE! I tried the strawberry twist, and I already loved it. The plain is sweeter than the strawberry one, but the strawberry flavour is really not that sour. So altogether, I love Red Mango's strawberry flavour (they only have 2 flavours; plain and strawberry, and twist which is a combination of both so it's not really counted as a flavour) but I loathe their mochi despite of their very appealing presentation. I, perhaps, would be coming back (not very often) to get more of their strawberry flavour froyo.

Yogulicious

Located across the bowling alley in Ex, Plaza Indonesia, Yogulicious attracts many customers. Its' system is like Tutti Frutti; self-serve froyo, except cheaper than Tutti Frutti. Unfortunately, its' flavors are also less than Tutti Frutti. Currently they only have four; original, mango, strawberry, and lychee. But they have another two coming soon which is grape and something else, I forgot. My bad :p. So it's flavors are okay, I guess. It's a tad better than Tutti Frutti's. And the mochi there is okay too, except I don't know whether or not if it's just me, but when it melted it kinda smelled/tastes like medicine. Like the bitter medicine, and that's not good. And also there's another coming soon froyo place in Plaza Indonesia, called Maru. It's japanese. They'll open up in August 2009. Lately there's just been so many froyo places in Jakarta! But still... I need to credit the very first store who came up with the idea; Yogen Fruz. I know they're not that famous and many people mistook them with New Zealand Natural (so did I). I actually wanted to tried theirs, but they were out of stock :( well, maybe another time. So anyways, here are the current rankings:

I'm pretty sure I got the right name, it's located in Senayan City Food Studio. They sell froyo (frozen yoghurt). They have only two available flavors; sweet or sour. I tried the sweet, and it wasn't good. At all. So currently they have this promotion going on where you take a fortune cookie, and you can get a discount for 50%, or 10%. I got 10% obviously, but I also got a free pancake/waffle. I chose waffle, and they put chocolate sauce on top of it which in my opinion smells like stinky feet. The yoghurt is not nice (I'm pretty sure that the sour will taste better than the sweet though) and eating it makes me wanna puke. I still prefer fruit-flavored froyos all the time. The mochi there is cut smally, and doesn't taste that bad, but it's just okay. Not as good as Sour Sally's and not half as good as Orangeberry's. Oh and I also re-tried the mochi in Tutti Frutti (there were two; one pink and one white) and it's a tad better than jeans berry's now (improvement!). Wait... Or is it berry jean's?...

Transformers 2

Just watched transformers 2. So in my opinion, it's kind of scary what with the robots and the looks and the red/green eyes and everything, especially the mean robots or also known as the "Decepticons". Their leader "The Fallen" wants to find a new power source for their race and (SPOILER!) it's hidden in the pyramid. And then Sam died and meet the rest of the Primus-es. So in the story there were 7 of them, and then the rest died leaving only 'The Fallen' with 'Optimus Prime'- the good guy. And then Optimus died and Sam brought him the magic stardust or the 'Matrix' so he go back to life. My fave characters are Leo, Sam's new college friend who's all panicked, but really funny, and Jetfighter, or something. Oh! Jetfire. So he's like the old grandpa of the robots, he was dead, but then Mikaela give him a piece of 'the cube' and he came back to life, but then died again giving his parts to Optimus. He was a former deception and turned to autobots, another one who changed into the good side is this CUTE little robot, Wheelie. He is so cute, indescribably cute. Then there's this one hot girl from college named Alice (played by this Australian actress Isabel Lucas) whom Leo had a crush on, but kept chasing Sam. It is later revealed that she's actually a Decepticon and is trying to kill Sam. As I said, this movie is scary. I seriously wouldn't recommend it for kids below 12 years old.

So altogether, Transformers 2 really isn't my type of movie. But out of 5 stars, I would say that it's a 3.8, for its' own category. I mean, I gotta admit that the whole vehicle-transforming-to-robots part is cool! It rates as a worth-watching for me.

Twitter / Plurk

Firstly, I just wanna say that this is all based on my personal opinion and I do not mean to offend anyone out there. Secondly, twitter sucks. (I repeat, I do not have anything against twitter! It's just that... it sucks!) So I gave them both a fair chance (honest!), made an account on both twitter and plurk, and I prefer plurk! It's just that in twitter, you get confused when other people who follow you comment on your 'twit's (?) (what I meant is whatever you call those comments/status you submit to your twitter account). They can't reply to the specific 'twit', unlike in plurk. In plurk you can refer to the specific one of which you want to comment on, and so making it clear. Moreover, plurk have cute emoticons, in which twitter don't. And also, plurk uses this system 'karma' in which when you reach a number of karma you unlock a set of cuter and more exclusive emoticons. This encourages 'plurkers' to keep their plurk accounts updated in order to keep gaining karma. On other hand, twitter have lots of additional websites, like for example there's this one website where you can 'twit' as long as you can and they'll just put a link for other people to see your 'twit's fully in case if it were too long and contains more than the specified characters. This can both be good and bad, depending on the side you see it from, but from my side, it's bad because it gets too complicated, having to open multiple websites just to 'twit'.

So, in conclusion, no offense to both twitter and plurk (not really), but I think plurk is better. Here's link for twitter and plurk.
